In the Republican ptimary election for the 1st District seat on the Riley County Commission John Ford received 7T1 votes while Gary Bennington received 521 votes. The total is unofficial. The votes must still be canvassed .The Democratic candidate, Rob Voelker, ran unopposed.
The general election is in November.
