Clara Eileen Irvine, 86, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on January 3, 2024, at Valley View Senior Living surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 23, 1937, to Robert and Nadine (Kershner) Schonberner in Junction City, Kansas. While in high school, she was involved with the band and baton-twirling clubs. This is also where she met her future husband of 68 years. Her and Paul married August 24th, 1956, here in Junction City and raised their family for their remaining years.
After graduating in 1955, from Junction City High School, Eileen found a job on post as a dry-cleaner. Shortly after her time on post, she found herself in a career in finance. She held a management position with Central National Bank until her retirement. Once she found herself retired, she had more time to spend with her family. Some of these activities included gardening, camping, and spoiling her grandchildren. Eileen also found more time to help her beloved community of Junction City by being apart of the Pink Ladies, being a Cub Scout Leader, part of the P.T.A. Board with Washington Elementary, and leading her bible school youth class.
