Riley County reports two more COVID-19 related deaths

  (RILEY COUNTY, KS – July 27, 2022) The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) recorded 142 new COVID-19 cases for Riley County between July 16 - 22. The Incidence Rate is 191.3 and Riley County remains in the HIGH incidence category with 100 or more cases per 100,000 people.

Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan is caring for two COVID-19 positive patients at this time.

Two additional deaths have been reported. An 87 year old man died July 11 after testing positive on July 9. He received four doses of the Moderna vaccine, with the most recent dose administered in April 2022. A 91 year old woman died July 11 after testing positive on June 25. She received three doses of the Moderna vaccine, with the most recent dose administered in October 2021. The total number of COVID-19 related deaths for Riley County residents is now 91 people.
