Ruth Irene Wells - January 5, 1921 - February 9, 2022

Ruth Irene Wells of Manhattan Kansas passed away February 9, 2022 at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan.

She was born January 5th, 1921, in Onawa, Iowa. After graduating Central Missouri State Teachers College (UCM) in Warrensburg, Missouri she joined the Marine Corps and served at Pearl Harbor during World War II. After the war she served the state of Kansas for decades with the University Extension department at Kansas State University from where she had retired.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister, she is beloved by her surviving family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 26, 2022 at the Meadowlark Hills Community Room - Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community, 2121 Meadowlark Road, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
