RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an alleged scam that cost a victim a significant amount of money.
Just before 6p.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report for theft by deception in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 30-year-old woman reported an unknown suspect used deception to steal money from a bank account. The total estimated loss associated with this case is $33,000.
