RILEY COUNTY—A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 4p.m. Thursday in Riley County.
According to the Riley Police Department activity report, a 2003 Harley David motorcycle driven by 71-year-old Dennis Rhoden of Solomon was westbound near the intersection of Anderson Avenue and Woodland Street in Manhattan.
The motorcycle swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid a car turning at the intersection.
EMS transported Rhoden to Via Christi in critical condition. He was not wearing a helmet, according to police spokesman Aaron Wintermote.
