MANHATTAN - On Sunday afternoon, the Pentecostals of Manhattan Church hosted an appreciation service for all Manhattan area First Responders.

Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and EMS workers were recognized for their service to the community during the Appreciation Sunday service.

"I saw a quote, a couple of weeks ago and it says, you know, you're becoming a servant when people start to treat you like one. And, you know, when I think about it, I realize that people in very public professions and people that are working to help others be there for others, save others. They don't always get the recognition. They always, but they do always get the orders to go and keep helping. And so I wanted to be able our church wanted to be able to kind of just, you know, be there for them and let them know that someone does know how much, how hard they work and how important it is that they're serving and keeping us safe." Pastor Landon Dillon says.

Appreciation goodie bags and a catered taco luncheon were also part of the recognition service.
