Rodney E. "Chip" Wolf, 70, of Junction City, Kansas died Monday, November 27, 2023 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
Rodney was born December 22, 1952, in Salina, Kansas the son of Earl R. and Mary (Weaver) Wolf. In 1953, he moved to White City, Kansas with his family. He attended school in White City. After his freshman year of school, he transferred to Chapman and graduated from Chapman High School with the class of 1970. He attended Flint Hills Technical College, Cloud County Community College and Kansas State University.
Rodney farmed many years in southern Geary County. While farming, he also worked as the city marshal in White City, Kansas. He later worked as an appraiser for Geary County. In 1988, he went to work for Foot Locker working his way into management. He retired in 2007. He worked as a reserve deputy for Geary County Sheriffs Department.
He married Connie Close August 20, 1987 in Junction City, Kansas. Survivors include his wife Connie of Junction City, Kansas; one son, Tony Wolf and his wife Sharon of Milford, Kansas; two daughters, Brandi Wolf of Milford, Kansas and Julie Bender and her husband Len of Chapman, Kansas; four grandsons, Cameron, Chance, Konner, and Tyler; one granddaughter, Courtney; two great-grandchildren, Josie and Kasen. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation will take place. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to NCSHAAA (Meals on Wheels Program) 1025 S. Spring Valley Road Junction City, Kansas 66441
