GEARY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just after 5p.m. Wednesday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 Ford F250 was eastbound on Interstate 70 at U.S. 77 exit. The pickup suddenly came to a stop.
An eastbound 2023 Toyota Rav4 driven by Marissa Donaldson, 28, Junction City, moved in front of the pickup. The pickup then struck the Toyota pushing it into the guardrail. After impact, the Toyota spun out and came to a stop in the roadway. The pickup left the scene of the accident, according to the KHP.
EMS transported Donaldson to Stormont Vail for treatment of serious injuries. A juvenile was present in the vehicle; juvenile record protected data, according to the KHP. Donaldson was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
