The Junction City Comission and the Geary County Sheriff's Department have approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), re-establishing the joint interdiction team.This specialized unit is dedicated to interdicting criminal activity, with a focus on narcotics and firearms trafficking.
According to the JCPD as part of this initiative, K9 Detective Blake has been deputized at the Geary County Sheriff's Office, allowing him to operate throughout the county alongside Geary County Sheriff's Deputies. We are excited to work together with the Geary County Sheriff’s Office to strengthen our efforts in combating crime and keeping our community safe.
