North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging will host a "Sunflower Seed Gathering." The event will involve a day of simulcast seminars that provide practical, easy-to-understand information for older Kansans, people living with disabilities and their caregivers in Emporia and Manhattan.
Feature experts will address topics in pre-recorded presentations and will be available remotely to answer questions. Topics include Medicare, Durable Powers of Attorney and how to best help people living with dementia and their caregivers.
The event is scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 9:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Anderson Building, 2700 U.S. 50-Emporia and at the Flint Hills Center, 401 Houston Street in Manhattan. Lunch is available to participants with registration required by 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16.
