Stanley L. Berven, 92 of Abilene passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was born February 20, 1931 in Webster City, Iowa, the son of Severt and Frankie (Blue) Berven. He grew up in the Kamrar, Iowa area and graduated from Kamrar High School. On August 5, 1950 he was united in marriage to Arlene Grubbe in Webster City, Iowa. She preceded him in death September 30, 2004. He owned and operated his own trucking company, Reliable Freight Lines. He was a member of the Abilene Elks Club and the OOIDA trucking organization.

 Stanley is survived by his two sons, David and wife Arlene of Abilene and Dennis and wife Kay of Florida. Seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Ann Tschampel, and great-grandson, Derek Peterson. The family has chosen cremation.

A Celebration of Life will be held September 30th at the Abilene Elks Club. The family suggests memorials be given to the Hospice of Dickinson County. Memorials may be dropped off or mailed to Danner Funeral Home, 501 N. Buckeye, Abilene, Kansas 67410.
