Wanda S. Mathis, 74, of Abilene, KS, formerly of Woodbridge, VA. passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Village Manor in Abilene. Cremation will take place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Highland Cemetery. Wanda was born August 15, 1947, in Aragon, GA the daughter of Harold and Lillie (Nichelson) Holland. Wanda enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her children and family. Wanda was an avid walker and enjoyed meeting people on her journeys. She married John G. Mathis. He passed away in 2013 Survivors include one son, Danny Mathis; one daughter, Tammy Meranta; four sisters, Sylvia Nelson, Janice Moore, Terri Hammond and Karen Doyle; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John; one son, Johnny Mathis; three brothers, Homer, Jerry and Harold.&nbsp;&nbsp;
