Mary A. Ashworth passed away on March 26th, 2024, in Wamego, Kansas at the age of 94. She was born on August 20th, 1929, in Paxico, Kansas, to Fred and Ella (Martin) Mathies.
Mary's life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She leaves behind her son Lonnie Sullivan, daughter Jo Sullivan, and sister Nyla Mathies. Mary's heart was forever touched by the memory of her daughter, Sue Sullivan, and her siblings, who preceded her in death.
Throughout Mary's life, she found joy and solace in various hobbies that brought out her creative spirit. Mary found great pleasure in crocheting beautiful blankets and quilting intricate designs. Her adventurous spirit extended beyond traditional crafts as well; she had a fondness for motorcycles and horses.
In addition to these personal interests, Mary took pride in being a homemaker whose warmth could be felt within every corner of their home. Her attention to detail extended into property management, where she ensured that everything was meticulously cared for to create a welcoming environment for all who entered.
Mary will always be remembered not only for these passions but also for the kindness she showed everyone around her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home, Wamego, Kansas.
