The Fort Riley U.S. Army Garrison announced that they will bid farewell to Col. Jerry Nunziato and welcome the incoming garrison commander, Col. Joey Orr, with a change of command ceremony Thursday, July 16 on Ware Parade Field, beginning at 10 a.m. Ware Parade Field is in front of garrison headquarters at 500 Huebner Road.
The military change of command ceremony is a longstanding tradition that demonstrates the formal transfer of authority and responsibility from one commanding officer to another.
The ceremony will be livestreamed on the official Fort Riley Facebook page.
