The next Hazardous Household Waste collection is this Saturday, January 8, from 8 a.m. to noon at Howie’s Recycling – no matter what.
The collections happen every second Saturday of the month. Mike Boller, director of Riley County Noxious Weed/HHW Department, said “cleanouts are one of those things that, rain or snow or cold weather, we still put that on.”
No business waste will be accepted at this event.
Boller said the facility has lots of recycled latex paint and household products on recycling shelves to give away free to the public
One-gallon and five-gallon containers are available. The office is open Monday – Friday from 7:30 to 4 p.m.
