For the second day in a row, Riley County Police have taken a report of someone breaking into vehicles and making off with expensive contents. Yesterday more than $3,000 worth of tools and equipment were taken from a truck at Solida Tree Service on Poyntz Avenue.
On October 7, a 26-year-old male reported that an unknown suspect stole a Toshiba laptop, a JBL Bluetooth speaker, Nike shoes, a Browning 12 gauge shotgun and a Smith and Wesson MMP 15 Vortex Scope from his unlocked truck. The total loss is approximately $2,210.
On October 7, an 18-year-old male reported that an unknown suspect stole his Raleigh Rally M600 bicycle in the 1400 block of Anderson Ave. The loss is approximately $500.
On October 7 a 48-year-old female and a 71-year-old male reported that a 37-year-old female suspect stole a purse, cash, medication and groceries in the 50 block of Corey Place. The loss is approximately $1,000.
Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
