Due to the high volume of calls, the Riley County Police Department have activated emergency reporting and response protocols for motor vehicle accidents.
Officers will only respond to accidents involving: Injuries, and suspected alcohol or drug involvement. Minor accidents and slide-offs will not receive a response.
If you are involved in a minor accident, exchange personal and insurance information with the other driver and report the accident to your insurance company as soon as possible. Then file a report with law enforcement within 48 hours.
