RILEY COUNTY - On Friday morning, the Kansas Forest Service released a map of the burned area from the Burklund-Axelton Fire.

The fire burned an estimated 8,305 acres in Riley and Pottawatomie counties, through the morning of Thursday, April 11th.

There is the chance the fire could rekindle over the next week, due to the forecasted dry, windy conditions.
