Patricia A. “Patty” Jensen

Patricia A. “Patty” Jensen, age 87, of Manhattan, died February 19, 2022, at the Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan.

She was born October 6, 1934, in Manhattan, the daughter of Archie Lee and Regina M. (Foveaux) Allen.

She was married to Gerald C. Jensen in 1951 in Wamego. He preceded her in death in 1974.

Patty worked in food service at the Manhattan Junior High School cafeteria for many years.

She enjoyed decorating her home, making light and flower arrangements, doing yard work and watching Hallmark movies. Most of all she enjoyed visits with her family.

Survivors include her two daughters: Chris and Tracy of Manhattan; one sister Darlene Allen of Topeka; six grandchildren: Barbara Braddock Lashley, Trent Braddock (Michelle), Leslie Braddock, Jessica, Matt and Kris Nelson; ten great-grandchildren: Kirsten, McKenna, Grant, Brooklyn, Carson, Mikayla, Mya, AJ, Kristopher and Koltyn; and one great-great-grandchild Kanee.

She was also preceded in death by her six siblings: Charles “Jim” Allen, Evelyn “Sis” Keller, Ray “Boots” Allen, Edward “Nug” Allen, Mary “Betty” Wood and Jon Allen.

A Celebration of Patty’s life will be held at a later date.
