Fort Riley announced via social media Tuesday that due to a lapse in federal appropriations, many civilian employees at Fort Riley are currently furloughed. As a result: Emails and phone calls to affected civilian staff will not be answered.
Many social media channels will be unmonitored
Some services may be limited or temporarily unavailable.
Normal operations will resume once federal funding is restored.
Fort Riley will continue to deliver life, health and safety services. Irwin Army Community Hospital remains open 24/7 to provide emergency and inpatient care.
