Police call off search for suspect after chase, crash in stolen vehicle

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating  after a chase with a stolen vehicle called off the search for the driver over the vehicle. Investigators have learned the identity of the driver will issue a warrant for his arrest.

On Saturday afternoon, authorities alerted the public to an increased police presence in the area of 6th and Lincoln in St. George, according to a social media report.

This is the result of a pursuit that ended at that location where the subjects fled after wrecking the stolen vehicle they were driving.

One suspect was in custody and police were looking for the driver until they called off the search just before 4p.m.

Police described him as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing blue jeans, a white shirt, brown hair, and a ponytail. If you see this subject please call 911.
