RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Tuesday in Manhattan.
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a 2027 BMW X6, driven by Vismel Johazel Candelaria-Correa, 27, of Junction City, struck a pedestrian identified as Elizabeth Sakura Lyle, 19, of Manhattan at Denison Avenue and Jardine Drive.
EMS transported Lyle to Via Christi Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. This accident remains under investigation at this time.
