Shirley Dolores Minor, 71, of Newport News, Virginia, passed away on December 13, 2023, at the Via Christi Village in Manhattan, Kansas. Cremation has taken place and she will be brought back home to Virginia for a family led memorial service.

Shirley was born to Lawrence and Lotti Mae Wright in Newport News, Virginia on November 17, 1952. While living there, she spent most of her life in the food industry before retiring. She was a long-time resident of Virginia, but made the decision to move to Kansas in 2022. This allowed her to be closer to her family in Kansas.

Shirley is survived by two loving sons, Jamie Vaughan and Chris Trotter; three sisters, Linda Pettis, Yvonne Brown, and Mary Anne Wright; ten grandchildren and ten nieces and nephews.

he was preceded by her parents and two sisters, Willa Mae Wright and Patricia Hayden.

Shirley's love for her family and friends will never be forgotten and will truly be missed by many.
