Chilly temperatures and the winter holiday season are the perfect backdrops for a farmer’s market.
This Saturday, December 11, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the corner of Third Street and Leavenworth in Manhattan will be filled with Winter Fest activities to celebrate the newest season.
Winter Fest will have fun games, photo ops and activities for kids. The first 100 kids get a free goodie bag.
Big kids are not forgotten: Winter Fest also have a giveaway basket with grown-up goodies from vendors, and a $50 gift certificate to spend on the loadsof food and crafts at the Market.
In the holiday spirit, organizers are providing ways to give back. Anyone with the desire to participate with the Angel Tree or providing food for the Blessing Boxes around town can bring donations to the event for later distribution.
Organizers say participants should anticipate other new surprises coming for the event.
The Winter Fest is a partnership of the Downtown Farmer’s Market of Manhattan and Bubble Luscious Soap Company.
