Winter Storm Fern Update: Snow continued to fall across Manhattan Saturday afternoon, with some areas seeing 7+ inches on the ground. Public Works crews worked throughout the day and are currently operating in plow groups, focusing on emergency routes and major roadways.
Snow is expected to continue through Sunday. Because of anticipated totals, crews do not expect to move into residential streets until Monday.
If possible, please stay home and avoid travel to allow crews to work safely and efficiently. If you must be on the roads, slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and do not crowd snowplows.
