Randy DeWitt, P.E., Director of Public Utilities, was honored with the 2026 Government Engineer of the Year Award from the Kansas Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE). KSPE presented the award during their annual conference, held in June.
The Government Engineer of the Year award celebrates achievements in engineering, civic and humanitarian service, professional involvement, and educational accomplishment. DeWitt was recognized for his outstanding service and leadership in advancing water and wastewater infrastructure that serves thousands of Manhattan residents. His work supports reliable utility services and long-term planning that benefit the Manhattan community every day.
