Riley County police announced via social media: K18 westbound starting at 56th Ave. was shut down due to multiple accidents. Traffic was diverted onto 56th Ave. at this time. RCPD and KHP are on scene. Riley County police confirmed about 8:45 that K-18 at the location just west of the airport has been reopened, but there are still vehicles in the area that slid off the roadway. Authorities are still working in the area.
Due to freezing drizzle Monday morning police dispatch in Riley and Geary Counties have confirmed some vehicle accidents. Drive carefully.

USD 383 Transportation Announcement via social media: The sleet/snow we’re getting this morning is freezing in the windshields of any bus that’s not up to full operating temperature. It’s causing a lot of buses to have to pull over to get up to temp fully so they can drive safely. 50% or more of our routes are going to run at least 10 mins down this morning.
