FORT RILEY, Kan. - For the first time in nearly 18 months, Fort Riley hosted an in-person, full ceremony change of command.
The ceremony started following the firing of ‘Old Glory’ a replica of a Civil War cannon.
The ceremony honored exiting commander of the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, Colonel Paul Krattiger, who was in command of the unit for 2 years.
Incoming commander, Colonel Brian McCarthy took over command of the “Devil Brigade” at the completion of Friday’s change of command ceremony.
