RaeLynn Wadsworth, 79, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation will follow. She was born on January 8, 1943, Kansas City, Missouri to Ray T. and Chloe Crane. On December 19, 1964, she married Frank D. Wadsworth at the Main Post Chapel, Fort Riley, Kansas. RaeLynn and Frank began their married life in Salina, Kansas in 1964, and in 1966 RaeLynn and Frank moved to Junction City, Kansas. Also in 1966, she began her career in banking, starting as a teller and retiring as the Senior Vice President of First State Bank / Intrust Bank in 2007. In October of 1968, she gave birth to Sean T. Wadsworth, and in the fall of 1993, Claire V. Wadsworth joined the family.
RaeLynn enjoyed being a homemaker and bowling in a mixed league on Wednesday nights. Days during the summer were spent at the lake camping and boating. On Saturday evenings, she enjoyed country dancing with Frank, her husband, to the Smokey Hill River Band. RaeLynn also enjoyed spending time at the Casinos with her mother, Chloe Crane. She was a member of a social sorority, Zeta Zeta.
RaeLynn is survived by her loving spouse, Frank, her son, Sean (Debbie), grandaughter, Claire (Brendon), great granddaughter, Chloe Shaw, brother, John (Lana), four nephews; Scott Crane (Angela : Aaron), Jeff Crane (Gretchen : Hannah, Ryan, Chloe), Greg Crane (Shana : Ella, Jack), Brian Crane (Stephanie : Cody, Layton, Blake, Kellen), and one niece Kristin Crane Taylor (Nathan).
