After she graduated from Hugoton High School in 1944, she attended Friends University in Wichita, KS. In 1948 she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Geneva and James were blessed with three daughters: Martha Thomas, Hugoton; Melanie McPhillips, Wichita; and Jodell Green, Enid, OK.
She enjoyed reading, writing poems and stories, riding her bicycle, working in her yard, camping and vacations at the family cabin in Colorado (where she loved trout fishing and hiking).
