Construction on this 15,000-square-foot facility began April 22, 2024 following approval of the $11.7M project funded through American Rescue Plan Act allocations. The project, designed by Arch Images of Lenexa and overseen by BHS Construction of Manhattan, was completed within the planned 14-month timeline. “This state-of-the-art facility will enhance our ability to meet the community’s needs,” said EMS Director David Adams. The modern headquarters consolidates Riley County EMS administrative offices and Station #1 under one roof, and includes a training and conference room, full‑time ambulance crew with on‑duty supervisor, backup ambulances, and living quarters for 24‑hour shift personnel.
