Riley County COVID numbers

Riley County has identified 65 new positive Coronavirus cases and 68 additional recoveries since the last report on October 14, 2021.  

In Riley County, since December, there have been a total of 234 positive cases from variants of concern.  

Six COVID-positive patients are currently under care at Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan. Five unvaccinated patients are on the medical floor and one unvaccinated patient is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Total positive cases in Riley County Residents: 8,059 

Total active: 108 

Total recovered: 7,892 

Total deaths: 59 

Total variant cases: 234 

Vaccine Operations:  

Riley County Health Department itself has fully vaccinated 22,764 of the 64,433 eligible Riley County residents. This figure does not include those vaccinated at pharmacies and other medical facilities in the area. 

Please call 785-565-6560 M-F between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm to schedule your vaccine or with any additional questions. 

Rapid and saliva testing is available for free.  

Testing is offered: 

Monday through Friday KDHE will be at the Manhattan Town Center parking lot on the north side from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm offering ONLY PCR testing. 

The Health Department will continue to offer Rapid testing (antigen) for symptomatic individuals. Please call our screening line to schedule an appointment 785-565-6560. 

Testing is also available:  

Saturdays from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Riley County Health Department. Please park in the spots on Wharton Manor Road. No appointment is needed.  

Thursdays from 6pm-8pm by appointment. This is for symptomatic individuals. Please call our screening line to schedule an appointment 785-565-6560.

Week 40 (October 3 - October 9) 3.9%
