Riley County government will make $2.5 million available in the form of grants to support qualified eligible small businesses. The purpose of the grants is to provide small businesses in Riley County with relief due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic. The program will be administered by the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Qualified eligible businesses may receive up to $15,000. An additional 10 percent will be added to the maximum award for verified minority, women, disadvantaged and veteran business enterprises. The application window for the program will be open on Thursday at 1 p.m. Applications can be completed online or delivered to the Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce.
Eligible applicants must be for-profit businesses located in Riley County with no more than 50 full time equivalent employees. Applicants must certify and document payment on eligible expenses between March 1 and Nov. 2.
