GEARY COUNTY —Three people were injured in an accident just after 3:30p.m. Saturday in Geary County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2025 Ford F150 driven by Justin P. Clark, 21, Spring Hill, was westbound on Interstate 70 one mile west of Kansas 18.
The pickup rear-ended a 2026 Subaru Forester driven by Thomas A. Little, 43, Idaho Fall, Idaho, who was stopped in traffic in the outside lane due to bottleneck caused by road construction. After impact, both vehicles spun out and came to rest in north ditch.
EMS transported Little to Stomont Vail in Topeka. EMS transported Clark and a passenger Rayce L. Livingston, 22, Olathe, to Stormont Vail - Flint Hills Campus. The KHP did not report seat belt usage details.

Geary County Emergency Management reports that I-70 from Exit 303 westbound was shut down due to a major accident at Exit 301 westbound. Both lanes of traffic have now reopened.
According to Emergency Management Director Garry Berges one person was lifelighted to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He also noted that units from Geary County Rural Fire, Junction City Fire, Fort Riley Fire and the Grandview Plaza Fire Department respond to fight the blaze caused by gasoline that spilled on the roadway.
There were two vehicles involved in the accident including a truck and a passenger SUV. The call on the accident came in about 3:40 p.m.
