MANHATTAN - On Monday, August 7, the Flint Hills ATA Bus posted an update on social media regarding the services available to K-State riders, including students, staff and faculty.
Starting August 14, 2023, all services within the Flint Hills ATA Manhattan Fixed Route System, including the K-18 Connector and Demand Response, will require a paid fare for all K-State riders, including students, staff and faculty.
This change comes following K-State funding reductions.
K & S on-campus roues will remain free with KSU ID.
ATA fares can be purchased using exact change on the bus, a bus pass or digitally using the Transit app.
Flint Hills ATA is seeking solutions to bring back the free-ride service in the future.
For information on reduced fare cards or how to obtain a free pass, contact the Flint Hills ATA Bus office at 785-537-6345.
