UPU Industries closed their Junction City operation on December 4th of this year. The closure was confirmed by HR Manager Suzanne Deegan.
UPU has been providing net wrap for round hay bales.
There were 30 employees at the plant, which began its operation in Junction City on December 4, 2003. Deegan noted that about 85% of those employees have located other work.
The UPU Industries parent company will remain in business. They are headquartered in Northern Ireland.
