Two other dogs were outside the residence when the fire crews arrived on scene, while two others were found deceased inside the house.

No one was home at the time of the fire.

The building is a one-story, single-family residence. Loss is estimated at $8000 to contents and $25,000 to the structure.

The residents are able to remain in the home due to damage being limited to a single bedroom that had the door closed during the fire.  The owner is listed as Gerald and Diane Haug of Manhattan.

The fire's cause is under investigation at this time.
