RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating an alleged sex crime and have made an arrest.
Just after 5p.m. Wednesday, officers filed a report for sexual battery near the intersection of Browning Avenue and Lori Lane in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 17-year-old woman was listed as a victim and a 48-year-old man listed as the suspect.
Just before 6p.m. Wednesday, police arrested 48-year-old Shawn Sinnott, of Manhattan on requested charges of sexual battery.
Sinnott is being held on a bond of $50,000, according to the RCPD.
