There will be a series of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. activities in the Manhattan community.
According to a list compiled by the Martin Luther King Jr. Committee the first one will be an MLK Community Celebration Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Manhattan Arts Center. The guest speaker will be Curtis Pitts, the CEO of the International Institute to Improve Race Relations of the Revelations Evangelic Ministry Inc.
Future events will include an MLK Day of Service on Saturday, Jan. 25 and a Laying of the Wreath event on Friday, Jan. 31.
