&nbsp;At 10:52 a.m. on Thursday, the Manhattan Fire Department was dispatched to 3208 Highland Circle for a report of smoke coming from a house. Upon arrival, crews found a single-story house with a fire in the basement. The fire was contained within 10 minutes of arrival. A total of 15 firefighters responded on 5 fire trucks with the last units clearing at around 1:00 p.m.&nbsp; A pet turtle died as a result of the fire.&nbsp; The Fire Department said the single-story single-family dwelling was not occupied at the time of the fire. Loss is estimated at $15,000 to contents and $15,000 to the structure. The resident was able to remain in the structure.&nbsp; The owner is listed as David and Mariah Covington of the same address,&nbsp; The fire cause is accidental due to a heat lamp that was near the turtle enclosure.&nbsp;&nbsp;
