Sandra “Sandy” Ann Clasen, age 77 of Solomon, passed away Monday, September 19, 2022 peacefully at her home. She was born April 24, 1945 in Watertown, South Dakota, the daughter of Cecil Edward and Evelyn Ann (Lindner) Klucas. On February 14, 1989 she married Steven Clasen at the Fairview Presbyterian Church in Riley, KS.
Sandy was always known to lend a hand whenever anyone needed it, even if it was just to babysit. If you knew Sandy, you could almost always find her playing bingo. She always enjoyed sharing her love of bingo with her family and friends. She always enjoyed a good laugh and had quite the imagination, especially when it came to Halloween costumes. The last several years, she became rather crafty in creating her costumes. When she was not crafting, she spent time playing with her dog Lilie.
Sandy is survived by her stepson Hayden Clasen and stepdaughter Stephenie Clasen, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She’s also survived by her near and dear sweet friend Raeann Cordell, 3 sister-in-laws, Jean Gray, Linda Klucas, and Kaye Klucas, one brother-in-law Stanley Clasen as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steven Clasen, her parents, 3 brothers, James, Edward, and Fredrick Klucas; one sister Barbara Hoftizer, one niece Tina Klucas, and one nephew Doug Hoftizer.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Solomon, KS. Come and go and be sure to share your stories with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sandy Clasen memorial Fund and left in care of the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home Solomon.
