Duane Edwin Rose, 73, formerly of Hutchinson and Lawrence passed away early Saturday, March 5th, at his residence in Manhattan. He was a retired supervisor for Garvey Grain Company in Hutchinson, and for 12 years at the Lawrence Paper Company in the shipping department in Lawrence, Kansas.

Duane was born in Scott City, Kansas on July 18, 1948, the son of the late Estaline June (Tellus) and Gerald Edwin Rose. He was the husband of Marilyn R. (Mandeville) Rose who resides of the home. They were married on May 7, 1987, in Hutchinson, and for their honeymoon, they celebrated by playing golf after the wedding, a passion they both enjoyed.

Duane is survived by three sons Steven (Esmeralda) Pate, of Manhattan; Bob (Brandi) Lewis, of Maple Hill; Jason Rose, of Hutchinson; four grandchildren (Tristan & Aiden Pate; Arlett & Amanda Gutierrez-Vizuet). Duane was preceded in death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law: Vicki and Jan Silvey.
