MANHATTAN - On Tuesday, August 29th, officers from the Riley County Police Department arrested a 37-year-old Junction City man in connection to child sex crimes.

David Hearlson was arrested following an investigation of sex crimes reported to have occurred between March and May of 2019.

According to RCPD these crimes involved a minor female victim known to Hearlson.&nbsp;

A Riley County District Court warrant was issued for the arrest of Hearlson for three counts each of rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child, and one count each of attempted aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent solicitation of a child, and criminal threat.

Hearlson remains confined to the Riley County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

Due to the nature of the crimes, RCPD will release no further informaiton.

MANHATTAN - On Monday, August 28th, the Riley County Police Department announced the arrest of 64-year-old Clark Petersen of Manhattan.

Petersen was arrested in connection with sex crimes reported to have occurred between 2018 and 2022 at his chiropractic office, involving five female victims who are now between the ages of 37 and 59.

Petersen's clinic was located at 1419 Westport Drive in Manhattan.

Petersen was arrested August 28, 2023, on a Riley County District Court warrant on the requested charges of 16 counts of sexual battery and one count each of rape, aggravated sexual battery, and lewd and lascivious behavior.

Petersen remains confined to the Riley County Jail on a $300,000 bond.

The investigation continues, anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jessie Ehrlich at 785-473-2397.&nbsp;
