KANSAS CITY —Investigators are working to determine the cause of an apartment building fire in Kansas City.
Just after 7:30a.m. Friday, crews responded to a reported apartment fire in the 600 block of Ewing, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins.
Crews reported light smoke showing on arrival.
A search of the affected apartments was conducted, and all occupants were evacuated. The fire was in the wall in a pipe chase and extended from the first-floor apartment to the apartment above on the second floor.
Companies quickly got the fire under control and limited the damage. The residents of two apartments will be displaced. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
