KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri identified the victim as 37-year-old Jessie Ross.
Just after 5:30p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 8200 block of Troost, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
As officers arrived they were directed to a convenience store in the area. It was there they located Ross suffering from unknown trauma to his head. Officers began performing lifesaving measures and ordered KCFD EMS to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Investigators and crime scene personnel responded and began a death investigation. They processed the scene for physical evidence, surveillance footage, and canvassed for witnesses. KCPD detectives were contacted by hospital officials at a later time revealing Ross suffered a gunshot wound. This case is now being investigated as a homicide..
