After a multi-month investigation, police arrested a Kansas man  Monday in connection with the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl.

In January, it was alleged that Raymond L. Isom, 41, of Salina, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester.

Upon completion of the investigation, the Salina Police Department sought an arrest warrant for Isom on a requested charge of rape. Police arrested him at a residence in the 100 block of W. Republic Avenue in Salina.

Isom was booked into the Saline County Jail Monday afternoon, according to the jail booking report. He has previous convictions for theft, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and drugs, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections
