KANSAS CITY —Four people including two wanted suspect were injured in a three-vehicle accident during a high speed chase that occurred just after 5p.m. Thursday in Kansas City.
Kansas City police and other agencies were chasing a Volkswagen Jetta following an armed robbery and kidnapping, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
The VW, occupied by two suspects, refused to stop for officers. It was pursued for several minutes until it was going south on Interstate 29 and came upon stopped traffic. The VW struck a Dodge Journey and a blue Hyundai Sante Fe.
The Hyundai flipped onto its driver's side after impact. The two suspects were taken into custody and transported to an area hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge and the Hyundai were also transported to an area hospital, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police released no additional details
