
HARVEY COUNTY—On Friday, Terrence Sanseda, 24, of Newton entered guilty pleas in Harvey County District Court to 5 counts of sexual exploitation of a child for possession of images of child sexual abuse material, according to Harvey County Attorney Heather L. Figger.
Sanseda faces a potential prison sentence of 31 to 136 months in the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections for each count, followed by post-release supervision. He will also be subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender.
“This case underscores the profound harm caused when children are exploited through electronic images. These images create lasting trauma, and my office remains committed to holding offenders accountable and protecting the most vulnerable members of our community.”
The successful prosecution of this case was made possible with the dedicated assistance of the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Newton Police Department.
Sentencing is scheduled before Chief Judge Michael Llamas on August 21, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
