HENRY COUNTY —A Kansas woman was injured just after 3p.m. Saturday when her kayak capsized on Truman Lake.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 45-year-old Olathe woman was overcome by wind and waves about two miles south of the Sparrow Foot Boat Ramp. The boat capsized and she fell into the water. She swam to the nearest shoreline. EMS transported her to Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton.
She was not wearing a safety device, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
